The Polish EV startup Izera has announced that it will commence production of its first two models in 2025. The automaker, heavily backed by the Polish government was founded in 2020 and plans to manufacture its entire vehicle lineup at a factory yet to be constructed in Jaworzno, Poland. Izera has enlisted the aid of Pininfarina for the exterior design and Geely for the platform. Its debut offerings are set to include a hatchback and a crossover, the latter of which will be named the Z100 and compete with Tesla's Model Y at a lower price point. The Z100 is expected to offer a range of approximately 273 miles and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 7 seconds, while the hatchback, dubbed the T100, will have a similar range. The Jaworzno plant is projected to cost £1 billion and create 2,400 jobs.
